I love Lucy Foundation and Finishing Powder, and have needed a matte everyday eyeshadow, so thought I would try this. I like the texture and formula, but the color was way lighter than I expected for something called Hot Chocolate. I didn't see any other browns available, but would love a darker matte brown. This is more of a base beige shade, so doesn't work alone.
This is such a beautiful light brown shade that leans slightly warm. I use this for a simple day crease color. I will say it is much lighter then the online swatch but still so beautiful and much more versatile as it can also be used as a subtle contour for lighter complexions or a less warm/orangish bronzer effect.
The formula itself is what really stands out though, I find it blends so effortlessly without diminishing in pigment. It’s easy to achieve very soft, blended edges quickly and with primer it really lasts a very long time, looking great till you remove it.
