    Creamy Olive Foundation (original)

Posted by KH on 12th Jan 2023

If you have light to light-medium olive skin, I beg you to try this. I've never had another foundation match my skin this well. Tested it and immediately bought the full size. Has a beautiful glow. I'm 53 and this makes my skin look gorgeous. For reference, other powder foundations I wear are MUFE velvet skin blurring foundation in Y225 Marble or Y235 Ivory Beige, and Jane Iredale powder in Golden Glow. The latter is a touch darker, better for summer for me. If most of the "olive" foundations are a bit too dark for you, and the lighter ones straight-up yellow or too peach, you must try Lucy Creamy Olive.

Best powder foundation ever!!! I had no issues with this foundation and I’m very sensitive. It doesn’t give a full coverage which I don’t want and very natural look which I love

    Holiest of Holy Grails

Same story I'm sure, but I'm 24 and had yet to find any powder/foundation with a matching undertone. Warms were always way too pink no matter the shade, and cools were never quite right either. I found this brand by accident on makeup alley as a highly recommended product, and was intrigued by the olive undertone and thought I'd try it. I got Creamy olive in Lucy light because I have horrendous acne scarring, and it covers every flaw perfectly and still doesn't look caked on. I'd call the shade a light to light medium. I applied with a synthetic flat top powder brush, and one layer did the trick. I had no complications with the finish even on my first application with just a lotion on underneath, and it looked more natural than any other mineral powder ever has. I could not be more ecstatic with this product, and am so happy to have found a company that actually cares about its customers like this!

Creamy olive foundation perfect for medium/light olive skin tones

Posted by Laura Rain on 6th Nov 2016

I love the Original Formula Creamy Olive foundation. Blends very nicely in fall and winter months. I have medium light yellow/olive tones in my skin. It is hard to find foundation that truly matches and brings out the natural glow. I pair this with the Pale Olive foundation for under eyes and highlighting. Does not slide or irritate or change pigment. I wear this for photo shoots, on stages, and also for every day wear. This is the for sure the best quality product that I have ever used.

    Great product!

I have been using Lucy Minerals for almost 2 years and I absolutely love this foundation. I have very acne prone skin and this foundation has not caused acne (which is very important to me). I would highly recommend those with acne prone skin to try Lucy Light first as the original formula might cause irritation or allergic reactions. I first tried the the original formula and my skin developed quite a few bumps. The coverage is about medium to heavy. But i would highly advise against heavy coverage as it becomes cakey. Make sure to have a good moisturizer under this foundation as it tends to crease and emphasizes dry patches. I really like how Lucy Minerals customize the foundation for you if you request it. I have quite yellow skin as I am Chinese, so i request to mix creamy olive and a darker shade because creamy olive is a little bit too light for my skintone. The foundation lasts a very very long time. Usually one foundation can last me at least 3-4 months with daily use. Considering its only around $10-$20 (i always buy when there is a great discount!), this is definitely a steal!!

    Great foundation!

I've been using this foundation (mixed with Tan Olive) for at least 2 years now. I've tried a lot of foundations but came across mineral makeup a few years ago and never looked back. I love Lucy Minerals foundations; light, creamy and offers great coverage without looking like a mask. I especially love how easy it is to take off at the end of the day. This shade (mixed with Tan Olive) is a perfect match for my yellow/olive skin. Love the new packaging too! I'm a loyal customer!

Best Foundation I Have EVER Used

Posted by Katie on 31st Oct 2016

I purchased this foundation in the Light formula. For years I have struggled with finding the right shade for my skin tone as well as a product that did not cause my skin to break out. I suffer from adult acne, and almost every type of makeup, most mineral brands included, cause my skin to flare up. This foundation however, has become my new holy grail. So much in fact, that I never want to try another brand of makeup ever again. I work in the cosmetics industry and have used hundreds of foundations, however there is nothing like this one. The texture does have a creaminess to it, where it melts into the skin and doesn't look like makeup. It provides full coverage without looking cakey or feeling heavy. I have oily combination skin and it lasts at least 8 hours on me without a touch up. Since I have started using this, my skin has cleared up immensely. For the first time in many years, I feel pretty. My skin looks and feels amazing and I could go on and on forever about how perfect of a match this foundation is. Everything is either too orange, too yellow or too pink. I also have the tendency to go for shades that are too light for me. This shade couldn't be more perfect for me, even though before I applied it I thought it would be too dark. I would say it is ideal for light/medium skin with a yellow/olive undertone. My favorite way to apply it is with a very dense rounded top synthetic kabuki brush, stipple on the powder and then buff it in for full coverage. It blends in so well with my skin tone I can't see where it ends or begins! I definitely recommend using one of the Lucy facial oils, I have the Get Glowing beauty oil and it works wonders as a primer.

Obviously I couldn't be happier with any other foundation!

Finally found the right shade and foundation

Posted by Sara on 22nd Jun 2016

I have gone most of my teen and adult life thinking that wore a medium beige foundation, but, after trying several from the sample kit I discovered that I am actually Creamy Olive. Finally my head and neck match :) I am so glad that I found Lucy Minerals. I have been wearing mineral make-up for almost ten years now and although it was a good quality, it was nowhere near the coverage, texture and 'creaminess' (for lack of better word) of Lucy Minerals. This is an outstanding product, thank you!
