Best moisturizer for my oily skin

Posted by Kim on 13th Jan 2019

This has moisturized my skin better than any other product. No only that, it REDUCES the amount of oil my skin produces during the day and night. I use a drop of the multi-tasking before my makeup application and 2 drops of sweet dreams before bed. I’m amazed at how well my makeup stays intact without having to blot throughout the day. I’m a believer! Also, I want to mention I suffer from eczema on my hand from time to time. A drop of the night time serum before bed has done wonders. I just love this stuff.

    I love this stuff!

Posted by Nickie on 22nd Nov 2018

My ADHD meds make my normal skin very dry and I've tried so many things and spent so much at Sephora and had to take them all back because nothing worked but since I was already hooked on the mineral foundation here and I figured I would buy the ambrosia for dry skin. I'm sooo glad I did! Not only is it like a great primer for the mineral foundation but it truly does help my very dry skin. I only wish that this was sold in even bigger bottles so you could use it for all over and not just the face. I will be back for more! Thank you for making such amazing products.

    From Lucy Minerals:
We are glad to hear our Dry Skin Beauty oil has had such a positive impact on your skin.

    Love this !

I've been using the sample size for just a few days, and so far it's great!
I have sensitive skin and the light scent doesn't bother me a bit. I've mixed a drop or two with my usual moisturizer, plant derived Squalane.
I plan to buy the full size.

    Miraculous oil !

Posted by Marilena on 7th Dec 2017

I tried this wonderful oil for the face ... what to say? It leaves the skin really hydrated and soft, it is an excellent base for mineral foundation. In the evening, the skin is still in an optimal state, the makeup is removed, the oil is applied and ... there is no need for anything else!

    Sweet Dreams Oil

Posted by Liz on 11th Aug 2016

I don't know why, but these oils and my skin just do NOT seem to get along. It's not the oil's fault; I think my skin is in some kind of odd transition. This oil by itself was fine, but one high-stress day when I put it on, let it absorb, and then put the Original Foundation over it, my face started itching pretty bad about half an hour later. (It was also a hot day, and I sweat pretty badly.) I honestly don't know if it was the heat, the oil, the foundation, or some combo therein, but I've since found my skin responds a lot better to just plain, unrefined coconut oil.

(I want to point out that everyone's skin is different, so I don't want to discourage anyone out there! If it works for you, then that's awesome! :D)

Thanks for offering these samples, though! It's been a WONDERFUL way to test the waters!

    Great Quality, But Strange Smell

Posted by Liz on 13th Jul 2016

I received my trial size of Ambrosia for Dry Skin in the mail today. I am a little torn; I can see how this could be a great oil for helping dried-out skin; I only had to use a couple of drops to cover and soothe both hands! On the other, the smell isn't my cup of tea. It doesn't smell spoiled or anything; I just prefer a less soapy smell to my oils. (It was one of my concerns when I was ordering, thus the trial size.) I may consider trying the other two a little down the line, but we'll see. Really glad these samples are available, though!

The Dry Skin formula is awesome!

Posted by Stephanie on 13th Jan 2016

I've never had problem skin; however, in my late 30s now, my skin is changing. I had my first bout of eczema earlier this winter and even though it wasn't severe, it made me realize just how dry my skin has become. I order the trial size of the Ambrosia for Dry Skin along with my "Find Your Shade" kit of foundations. The oil is FANTASTIC! It has a lovely scent and absorbs into my skin, leaving it feeling soft and healthy. I use it under my LM foundation and it gives the minerals a great base to sort of "hang on" to and I think it increases their staying power. I ordered the full size of this with my "Face It" kit, and can't WAIT to have it in my beauty arsenal!

    Great ingredients

Posted by Anamarija on 1st Dec 2015

I have dry and sensitive skin but I wanted to try multi-tasking oil and sweet dreams ambrosia oil. Unfortunately, they really dried out my skin. Think flaking dry. Good thing that I ordered testers. I only tried them for two days and had to repair the damage for the next week. lol They did not irritate my skin, only really dried it out, I don't know what is the deal with that. Who would say that oils can do that? :)
So anyway, if anyone with dry skin is thinking of trying those two, don't! Try the one for dry skin instead. ;)
It is possible that it is the combination of the oil and minerals, but the mineral powder with my usual moisturizer works just fine, so I blame the oils.
However, I don't want to give it bad rating because it is my fault that I ordered those two when there is actually a formula for dry skin, so I'll give it 4 stars for the ingredients, packaging and scent. :)

Note from Annie ~ This is very unusual and I have never had anyone complain about dryness from the Sweet Dreams Ambrosia. Did you mix it with water and then apply it to wet skin? This seems to lock the moisture into the skin. The Dry Skin Formula would probably be better for you because it has Shea Oil and Rosehip Oil which are better for dry skin. I'm glad you liked the scent and our little dropper bottles. :)

    Lovely product

This is a lovely product, absorbs nicely into the skin and makes my skin feel really soft, I also mix a few drops with the mineral powder and makes a lovely under eye concealer, highly recommend trying it.
