    Colour great for neutral skin

This is the first foundation (powder and liquid) to match my skin undertone so. very. well. It doesn't oxide pink or orange. I can't stand mismatched foundation! I am part Italian so I have an olive undertone similar to pale East Asians. I am NC15 in Mac. The LUCY LIGHT formula is WONDERFUL for very sensitive acne prone skin and is what I use. My skin cannot handle any other foundation. I have combo skin. After about 4-5 hours in the nose area, I see shine and a disintegration of the powder. Time to reapply or blot. This might not happen with the oil control formula. I do find this powder stands up to water very well. I'm not sure it's completely waterproof, but it definitely stays on very well in the shower. If you have dry patches, like any powder, it will accentuate it, so moisturise. I also have bad acne scars. This can be piled on to cover them very well. That is was I love about this powder. You can go for light to full coverage. I used this foundation heavily for a year and I still have some left over! You cannot beat the price. You get far more than BareMinerals for much less money and I like the buildable nature of it. Sometimes this shade makes me look ghost-like in photos when packed on heavily. Maybe the titanium dioxide makes a flash bounce off? Maybe I put on too much? From then on, I made sure to add some colour to my face with bronzer. The second time ordering, I used the BOGO deal to get a second darker colour (light medium) to add more colour and contour. I can also use it when I get a summer tan. I really love Lucy Minerals. For me, it's perfect.

    Best Beauty Find Ever

Posted by Hallie on 28th Jun 2015

I have rosacea (AKA The Curse of the Celts) and generally sensitive skin that's prone to irritation. Discovering mineral foundation was wonderful, and I tried a bunch of products over the years. Some contained talc or bismuth oxychloride, until I learned what to avoid, but even the good ones without any irritants had less coverage than Lucy Minerals. I ordered a bunch of samples and the Pale Olive in the Original Formula is my perfect foundation. (Very pale, Irish skin, but with yellow undertones.) It goes on easily, stays on well, and does the best job of covering my blotchiness without looking unnatural or cakey. It's also a fantastic bargain, especially for a product that's full of wonderful ingredients; a jar has lasted me a year even though I use it every day!
